The City of Ontario had hundreds of young ghosts, ghouls and goblins pack the Anthony Munoz Community Center Friday night to get a sneak peek of the facility’s upcoming expansion and – in a fitting Halloween twist – leave their imprint for all eternity.

The center, at 1240 W. Fourth St., combined its annual Halloween party with a preview of the renovation project, which will nearly quadruple the center’s size and significantly increase the number of community program and class offerings.

The City of Ontario is pleased to announce the next citywide yard (garage) sale weekend is Friday, November 2nd through Sunday, November 4, 2018. If rainy conditions occur on that Friday or Saturday, an alternate yard sale may be held on November 9, 10, and 11, 2018. 

In 2010, the City adopted a yard sale ordinance giving residents the opportunity to hold more sales each year on fixed dates and eliminating the need for yard sale permits and fees. Since 1932, six employees of the City of Ontario have lost their lives while serving the City and its community. The City of Ontario has always been home to many dedicated public servants, and recently, the Ontario City Council, along with City staff, paid tribute to these six City employees by redesigning street signs that mark the six streets in the Ontario Ranch neighborhoods named after these fallen souls.
