Ontario, CA - Ontario Police have arrested a suspect who was wanted for a shooting that occurred this morning. 

On March 2, 2019 at approximately 11:46 AM, Ontario Police responded to a call of a shooting that occurred at 1117 N. Baker Avenue (Red Carpet Motel). The suspect, Maximino Marcos, a 31-year-old male from Ontario, was upset over the victim’s relationship with his girlfriend and shot the victim multiple times. Ontario, Calif. – The Ontario Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on February 22th, 2019, at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

DUI Checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, with officers checking drivers for proper licensing.

 (ONTARIO, Calif., February 12, 2019) – Ontario’s plans to establish a smart city corridor in its historic downtown was given a major boost with the awarding of a $418,000 grant through the Southern California Association of Governments’ (SCAG) Future Communities Pilot Program.

The Ontario Museum of History & Art received a grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Services to create a new exhibit called Built on Water: Ontario and Southern California.  This exhibit will open in 2021 and is devoted to an understanding the history, present, and future of water conservation in Ontario and the surrounding region.
