On Saturday December 02, 2017, the Ontario Police Department received information regarding the abuse of a kitten by a young man. The abuse, which depicted the suspect throwing the small kitten into the air causing it to land in the street a distance away, was captured on video and shared via social media. 

Ontario Police immediately launched an investigation into the incident that eventually lead them to identify a 16-year-old male believed to be responsible for the abuse of the kitten. The suspect, who will not be identified due to his age, has not yet been located… Read More

*UPDATE*

During the continued search of “Cactus City” area, and with cooperation from suspect Dalen Ware, Ontario Detectives were led to the discovery of a shallow grave. This grave contains the suspected remains of Julia Jacobson and her dog Boogie.

The remains were discovered near the I-10 Freeway and Box Canyon Road with the aid of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Cadaver dog Ellie. The remains found are consistent with a female adult and a dog.

On Wednesday, November 29th, a multi-agency search will be conducted connected to the Julia Jacobson murder investigation.

The area search will be conducted by more than 120 personnel from four different agencies. They will be searching the rural desert area in Riverside County known as “Cactus City”.

The agencies involved include Ontario PD, San Diego PD, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Search teams are looking for evidence connected with the Jacobson Murder Investigation.

On Tuesday, November 14, at approximately 9:30am, two suspects approached the front door of a home in the 600 block of East Elm Street. They knocked on the front door and when it was opened by the homeowner, the two identified themselves a probation officers. They even flashed a badge as they pushed their way through the front door. Once inside, one of the suspects, later identified as Jonathan Cline pointed a gun at one of the victims and demanded to know where the safe was.

Thirty years after the teenagers body was discovered in a vacant Ontario house, police have identified the victim as Joseph Pace of Ontario. Pace was just 18-years-old when he was murdered in 1986.

On August 21st 1986, Police were called to the abandoned house in the 1600 block of East Holt Blvd. The small house sat to the rear of The Branding Iron Restaurant & Bar.
