Ontario, CA - Ontario Police have arrested a suspect who was wanted for a shooting that occurred this morning. 

On March 2, 2019 at approximately 11:46 AM, Ontario Police responded to a call of a shooting that occurred at 1117 N. Baker Avenue (Red Carpet Motel). The suspect, Maximino Marcos, a 31-year-old male from Ontario, was upset over the victim’s relationship with his girlfriend and shot the victim multiple times. Maximino fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Ontario, Calif. – The Ontario Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on February 22th, 2019, at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

DUI Checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, with officers checking drivers for proper licensing.

 (ONTARIO, Calif., February 12, 2019) – Ontario’s plans to establish a smart city corridor in its historic downtown was given a major boost with the awarding of a $418,000 grant through the Southern California Association of Governments’ (SCAG) Future Communities Pilot Program.

The Ontario Museum of History & Art received a grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Services to create a new exhibit called Built on Water: Ontario and Southern California.  This exhibit will open in 2021 and is devoted to an understanding the history, present, and future of water conservation in Ontario and the surrounding region.

Ontario, CA – The Ontario Municipal Utilities Company is offering federal employees impacted by the 35-day government shutdown a utility bill deferral. They will have the opportunity to defer utility bill payments without penalty for the current amount due up to two billing cycles from the original bill due date. All collection and late fee activities will be postponed for workers impacted by the government shutdown.
