The Ontario Police Department would like to remind residents that possession and/or ignition of fireworks within city limits is illegal.

With the celebration of Independence Day just around the corner, reports of fireworks are already coming in and are increasing daily. Calls for service often include noise complaints, property damage reports, injury reports and lost or injured pets. Last year, our Police Dispatch Center received 376 firework related calls for service in the 10 days leading up to July 4th.
