On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6 PM until 8 PM do something for someone else. Create and assemble care packages in the Lightspeed Makerspace. All care packages will be gifted to local veterans throughout the community.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019 the Ontario City Library will be hosting Superfan Frenzy in the Lightspeed Makerspace from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Get creative with the library’s state-of-the-art equipment. You can design a jersey, print a hockey puck or laser cut a hockey stick to support the kings of the rink. On Saturday, November 16, from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Ontario City Library will host a Big Trucks Meet Up. This family event is a parking lot full of city vehicles where the community can get an up-close look at all the large trucks that make our city run. Families can meet our community helpers, greet Charlie the Library bat, and learn all about the services the city provides.

Ontario Police are investigating a shooting that led to the death of a 42-year-old man in the 13000 block of South Ontario Avenue, in the City of Ontario.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting early this morning at approximately 12:04 AM. Upon arrival, the police helicopter observed a male holding a firearm at the location. The male then shot the victim multiple times.
The Ontario Fire Department responded and provided medical treatment to the victim at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Ontario, Calif. – On September 13, 2019, the Ontario Police Department will have officers out at local bars and restaurants to educate the public on how important it is to “know your limit.”
The “Know Your Limit” program is intended to inform the public on how little it takes to reach the legal limit for blood alcohol content (BAC), which is .08% in all states but Utah, where the BAC is .05%.
