FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED

Ontario, CA – Ontario Police have arrested a church pastor suspected of sexually assaulting multiple female juvenile victims at his former residence in Ontario.

In August of 2021, an Ontario Police School Resource Officer (SRO) was notified by a high school administrator that a student alleged their neighbor had sexually assaulted them. The suspect was identified as Jose Alcides Vasquez, a now 47-year-old resident of Menifee.

This investigation has remained ongoing and additional evidence was being gathered before charges were filed. In July 2024, another victim came forward, and detectives were able to obtain additional evidence that further incriminated Vasquez.

On September 05, 2024, Ontario Police Officers arrested Vasquez at his residence without incident. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on several related felony charges.

Vasquez has been involved with various churches throughout the Inland Empire, serving as a pastor and volunteer until his arrest. Most recently, he served as the head pastor at “Camino De Santidad” Church in Menifee, CA.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the sexual assaults or who was victimized by Vasquez to contact the Ontario Police Department. Information can be reported to Ontario Police at (909) 986-6711 or Detective J. Hernandez at (909) 408-1292. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling WE-TIP at (800) 78-CRIME or online at wetip.com.
