Detectives are investigating what happened to a man who was found dead inside a refrigerator. The refrigerator had been dumped onto the northbound lane of traffic in the 700 block of South Hope Ave.
Police received a call at approximately 6:00am from a man on his way to work who found the refrigerator dumped onto the street. When he got out to see what was going on, he discovered the dead body partially hanging out of the refrigerator and called the police.
Detectives identified the man as a Hispanic male in his mid to late 30’s. The man’s identity is not being released pending next of kin notification by the Coroner’s office.
Police are canvassing the area which is a mix of industrial and residential units.
