The annual Teen Action Committee Barbecue fundraiser was held on June 20, 2019. For over 20 years Johnny Thompson, a former City of Ontario employee has been using his talents to mentor teens and raise money for the Teen Action Committee and Youth Empowerment Scholarship program. Both are part of the Community Life & Culture Agency’s programming and are designed to engage, empower and educate the youth and teens in Ontario.
This year’s event had over 300 participants and raised $3,638 for the community. All who attended enjoyed a great meal, had the opportunity to play lawn games and catch up with old friends.
