Distracted driving is such an important safety issue that April is recognized as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. In California, Police, Sheriff and CHP officials are joining the Office of Traffic Safety, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), as well as law enforcement throughout the country, working together to focus on education as well as enforcement.

A man has been arrested in connection with the September 2015 murder of an Ontario woman and mother of two, Sally Mityas.

The Ontario Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision involving an on-duty San Bernardino Police Officer. Ontario detectives are currently working a murder investigation related to a previously reported missing mother, 33-year-old Sally Mityas.

On September 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Ontario Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
