The Ontario Police Department has arrested a subject believed to be involved with possessing and distributing files with Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM).

On June 20th, 2021, members of the Ontario / Upland Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce served a search warrant in the 1600 block of N. Hacienda Drive. On May 22, 2021, the Ontario Police Department conducted a Decoy Shoulder Tap Operation. This grant funded operation targets adults who purchase alcohol for people less than 21 years of age. The Ontario Police Department regularly conducts compliance checks citywide to reduce the availability of alcohol to minors. Statistics have shown that young people under the age of 21 have a higher rate of drunken driving fatalities than the general adult population.

The Ontario Police Department encourages the public to wear a seat belt and keep children secured in child safety seats.

This year’s Click it or Ticket campaign is from May 24-June 6. During this time, the Ontario Police Department will actively look for drivers and passengers who are not wearing a seat belt. This includes drivers who do not secure children in child safety seats.

On May 4, 2021 at 4:39 pm, Ontario Police Officers were in the City of Los Angeles to locate and arrest a known homicide suspect, Antonio Valdez. Valdez, a 34-year-old male Ontario resident, had shot and killed his roommate on May 1, 2021. An arrest warrant had been issued for Valdez related to this murder.

Ontario, CA – The Ontario Police Department arrested three individuals in connection with catalytic converter thefts.

On Friday, May 7th, 2021 at approximately 12:38 A.M., Ontario Police officers responded to the 2000 block of E. Mulberry Court after receiving a report of a catalytic converter theft that had just occurred.
