Ontario's compelling story is backed by the City’s strategic leadership, visionary land-use regulations, and over $1 billion in investment funded in large part by a recently ratified sales tax increase. With funds earmarked for infrastructure and neighborhood improvements, the increase will also fund major economic development projects including:

  • Downtown Ontario Revitalization: With 400 new residential units and 53,000 square feet of commercial space coming down the pipeline, Downtown Ontario offers a bustling environment for retail businesses to thrive.
  • Arena District Transformation: The Toyota Arena area is evolving into the Inland Empire's Entertainment District, featuring plans for 700 luxury apartments and 70,000 square feet of commercial space, the Arena District will provide ample opportunities for retail businesses.
  • Ontario Convention Center Expansion: The Convention Center's 247,000 square feet expansion and adjacent convention hotel will increase visitors to area retail establishments.
  • Regional Sports Complex Development: With a 6,000-seat Minor League Baseball stadium, a 80,000 SF retail promenade, a new hotel and over 150 acres of community recreational sports facilities, the future Sports Complex will provide a captive audience for retail businesses to tap into.
